Kilted...

Thats correct you didn't miss read that. It says Kilted. Tomorrow is the St. Pattrick's Day parade here in my city. And like last year, this year I am going in my kilt.

Now even though kilts and St. Patrick's Day are traditionally celtic, and I happen to not be, as far as I know, I find the kilt comfortable, and it is a cool way to share in another cultures traditions even if only for a day.

For a little history, the kilt goes all the way back to the 16th century. While kilts were becomming popular around the time of the scottish hero William Wallace, it is unlikely that he would have worn one like they portray him wearing in Braveheart as played by Mel Gibson.

Below is a link to a video with a demo from Slaters on how to put on a kilt. I will change the video link when and if I upload a demo. Kilt Demo   This guy is wearing his to a formal function. My kilt is does not have as many buckles, and I am wearing my with a teeshirt and sneakers or boots

Enjoy, Happy St. Patricks Day.

And those of you in New Haven. Hope to see you all at the parade.
