Gamesday2013 and Hey guess what....

Hello lovelies, I know it has been a while and for that I am sorry. But I have a lot of stuff going on and besides telling you about my vacation I have a few things to tell you about.

I will cover the new stuff first. The bad news is that my computer crashed a week ago so it has been slow and steady getting my computer back to what it was before. The part that really sucks is that I lost ALL my music, But slowly and surely I am loading my CD's back on to my computer. and it is in a word, Tedious.

Good news, I am moving at the end of this month. So in all reality, this will probably be the only post I make this month. I want to be more organized this time so I am trying to do a little packing every day during the week and a bit more on the weekends.

The last time I moved I ended up saying fuck it and throwing most of my stuff in garbage bags. Yeah I had to replace a lot of stuff so I am hoping to avoid that this time.

So that takes care of that, now on to the fun stuff.

Memphis was awesome. So for my vacation, my friend and former roommate from college Doug.

This year to save money we decided we were going to drive down to Memphis. So our first stop in the way down was Cleveland. We stopped and visited with another friend from college who showed is that really awesome restaurant called Melt, that was featured on the show Man vs. Food for a grilled cheese sandwich that is absolutely huge. Being the fat guy that I am I decided to try the Melt challenge.

The sandwich itself is a triple decker and I could taste Blue cheese, cheddar, goat cheese, gouda and god knows what else along with a pile of French fries and coleslaw. I had to eat the sandwich with a fork and knife it was soo gooey.
Now it hurts for me to admit this but I could not finish the challenge. And there is talk of having my fat man card revoked. But as the sandwich got cold the cheese got hard and it just tasted weird and it made me gag and I just couldn't. I am sorry.
So from there we drove south were we spent 3 days in Memphis for Gamesday 2013. The Friday before gamesday we were invited to a BBQ hosted by Games Workshop at the World of Battle which is their US headquarters store.

The Next day was the actual event. This year it was defiantly a lot smaller then previous years. But this year the invitation and all their free giveaway stuff was themed around the Dark Angels with is the Space Marine chapter that I play, so needless to say I was excited to see the Dark Angel statue at the entrance. Had to stop for a photo.

The next stop was Lake Winnie a small amusement park just outside Chattanooga. And I want to put the emphasis on small. It is probably an amazing park for little kids, or for a family get together. But from someone like me who enjoys roller coasters this was definitely not my kind of park, there were 6 rides. And I was almost to fat for a couple of the rides.

From there we spent the night in a little town in Virginia. We left early that morning headed for Pittsburgh. As a part of our tradition we hit a baseball game.

So PNC park was the last stop on our trip before heading back east. All in all probably the worse stop of the trip. The hotel was attached to an airport so you had to use the Airports long term parking which was $13 a day which is the most we paid for parking the whole time. All in all it was a fun trip can't wait for next year. Will probably fly driving was tough that's for sure.
