A little bit of writing...

As promised here is a little sample of my writing. Please feel free comment and give me advice. my email is chefdoug0723@gmail.com I am not sure where I wanted to go with this story, or if it will go anywhere. As I was writing I thought it was going to be longer but it got to the conversation and the well dried up and I had to force the rest of it. Well either way let me know what you think. Thanks Doug

He could smell rotting flesh before he realised he was dreaming. The smell heavy in the air around him, thick and overwhelming like fog. The sky a weird mix somewhere between twilight and dusk. Just dark enough that he could only make out what was closest to him. Six body bags lay at his feet, empty. He could make out the hazy figure of a man standing in the fog laughing at him. This is a dream he thought calmly trying to reassure himself, hardening his will around him like a forcefield.

“Not for long old friend,” he said from just outside Leon's field of vision in his deep, low, commanding voice.

“We are not friends.”

He walks closer, his footsteps echo hollowly on the ground “Still stuck on trying to stop me?”

“Not going to try this time, I will stop you,” Leon says looking defiantly into where he knew the cold eyes would be looking at him from the darkness.

“Poor little Leon,” he says walking in a circle around him, “I could have given you the world.”

“But at what price?” Leon says, turning his head trying to track the movement in the darkness.

Laughing, “What does it matter? I speak of forevers, of time frames your tiny little mind can‘t even grasp the concept of. Do you even know what forever means? I will give you one chance, save the others and join me. You will have lifetimes to live. And more wealth then you could spend in a thousand lifetimes. Think about it, I can show you how to achieve your every desire“

“Never,” Leon said, his anger riseing him him like a volcano.

“ Fine. You have had your chance. The others, more willing, even now they feel my whispering to them. And they are receptive to what I have to offer..”

“…Until they see your true face”

“… by then it will be to late.” he says, a smile slowly creeping across his face.

Leon looks down at the body bags, “Why six?”

“They aren‘t as powerful as you, Nor do they have talent that Aaron did. The need to be bound together as a coven and their energy to be focused to do what it took only you and Aaron to accomplish together. And then there is the seventh, thats a fun one. I am going to take my time with her. She is going to be fun to break, and she isn‘t as strong as you.”

“Seven? There isn‘t a bag for seven.”

“ She won’t need one,” he says inching closer to Leon, the shadows moving with him keeping his face hidden, “You know the future is a fluid thing. I know you feel her near you.”

“That’s close enough,” Leon says once again focusing his will into a barrer, as the man bumps into an invisible wall his face filled with contempts and shock, “I picked up a few tricks since the last time.” Leon smiles and starts to force the man backwards. The mans smile falters as he stumbles back. With a sweep of his hand he reaieses energy and sends the body bags flying at the shadow. “Take these with you and be gone.” With a flash the man disappears with the bags and Leon sits up in bed breathing heavy. Reaching for his pad and pen to keep track of his new information.
